Bogart JJ Rod

(This taper is one that was mic'd by Chris Bogart from his friends rod (J.J.). Even though I have not made this rod I understand it is sweet.) Chris --This is a taper based upon JJ's rod. Original measuremes were taken over varnish and adjusted. The rod is believed to be a Paul Young. There were several areas that I had to make interpretations of the taper and did some smoothing in hexrod to insure a good stress curve.

This rod has a "Balanced / moderate action" stress profile. Stress varies significantly across the rod. Some sections work much harder than others, creating a pronounced action character. Peak stress is well below the failure threshold, giving this rod a generous safety margin.
