43-1.66 This is a rare 7'1" Payne parabolic. The rod is interesting in that the tip top dimension is a scant .054 yet the 05 is a beefy .084. I guess it has to be that way to be Parabolic as my definition of a para taper is thin but/heavy tip. I guess Jim wanted to have a fine tip to protect the fine tippets rather than countin on the para action ofr protection. In the hand the rod feels semi-parabolic and is very seet acton for a #4 line. I measured the rod without varnish..
